hey. I am posting my latest track which is in a cross genre of a slower minimal techno with quite some ambience.

I am on my way of finding my own style bouncing in between techno and melodically minimal house. Really excited to discover what kind of music I will actually end up creating. And I am really curious to understand how others will perceive it. What kind of emotions it evokes if it does at all.

PZA - PATH TO THE PEAK

Woozy midnight vapor drifting through crystal waves of twang in a dreamy lofi of warm comfy chill

Conor - Backburn

Beats crafted from dreamy lofi lurking beneath the vast heaviness of a suppressed and steady flow

Floating Organs - Unattainable

Heavy thrashing mania of jagged funhouse electronics warped and weaving through dark garage metal

These and other albums are posted with embedded players on my wordpress. There’s also previous week's recommendations and a lot more music to discover. You can also check out my twitter where I post all the good songs that I discover daily.

Featuring a stunning vocal performance by Natascia Verde, “Wrong echoes” is the third track taken from the album "Inside talk", which will be released, under the Nheap XP moniker, on January 22nd. You can pre-order the disc (CD/digital) on Nheap XP's Bandcamp (https://nheapxp.bandcamp.com/album/inside-talk), thus being able to download some songs in advance. The album will obviously also be available on all major digital channels.

Hey guys,
I'm an unsigned rapper from the UK that wants to get noticed and has been putting in work since 2015 music-wise to try get my craft to a high level. I recently dropped my first song on Spotify as well as all platforms and will be dropping a lot of music this year as I've finally gotten to the level I think I needed to be.
I'm heavily inspired by artists like Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Andre 3000, etc and I'm trying to do the UK Rap sound differently, with a more conscious feel to it. I will drop the link below, feel free to check it out and let me know if theres any feedback or thoughts on it from you guys!
Thanks :)

This is a song of mine from a record that was out 2 month ago : Fairy Tales in Yoghourt - Mania

Tbh I'm not a huge reddit contributor so I hope it's find its place here anyway

Maybe someone knows another more thematic subreddit where it would suit well?

I like this man, reminds me of these ambient binaural beat videos, in a good way. I was a bit tired, and just rested my eyes while the song was playing. Feel like I got an energy boost!

PGN Music - Back in the City https://youtu.be/eQa4KdqhQiU

Still trying to get the Cyberpunk EDM flair just right. This one I think is closer than some of the ones we've done in the past, but I'm still not 100% it nails down the genre right.

What do you think?

Looking for strange, new, unique music? Some alt rap with punk rock influence? lvl 81 Samson - Superman Taxi

Let me know what you think of the hook. Is it catchy? Not mixed well enough? Is there too much going on? Or is it dope?

My first thought was that this piece feels like viewing a group of elephants trumpeting praises to a fiery setting sun... and then I saw the name of the track. Lol. Very pleasant piece. I want Ari Aster to use this in a movie.

Started writing this song about the ridiculous amount of bands my old ass has played in (20+, only counting bands that played live at least once) and ended up being a love song to the band I'm playing in. This one's for those who can't help but play music and appreciates the ones you're playing it with

I got into Psych Cumbia recently, here are a few songs. Absolutely nuts sound.

I also discovered r/vintageobscura and it has pointed me to great tunes, but even unknown gems from my country Brazil. Here are some songs.

This is very cool, admittedly the vocals are slightly unpolished and a bit rough around the edges but your lyrics are very fun and really interesting and I definitely get the 90’s vibe you are going for.

Definitely big potential… shame more people haven’t heard it

I love this. The suspended chord movement played from around 4:30 has a really nice resolution. I can't describe it.

Where can I hear more?

Edit: On my second listen, will defo be sharing this, it's lovely.

Thanks! I have the old mix still on the channel if you'd like to hear the differences between the two, I think it's definitely miles ahead of where it was a year ago. If you want you can check out some other stuff on the channel, I try to upload regularly (one song every month) so if you like what you hear, consider subscribing :)

blcktau t1_j3o87g5 wrote

Cool shit. Ieresting production, and good technique, but a little too indebted to its influences. I'd say to lean more on your natural voices because it's easy to get a unique tone if you don't put on a more listenable one but it's actually a whole add journey getting to the perfect middle so definitely keep on keeping on. Maybe work on the hooks a bit more too, but honestly really good and heavy promise

1

blcktau t1_j3o8oqx wrote

The synth tones are nice but the drums are sounding like dungeon synth without the heavy layer of fuzz and background noise, I'd say work more on the texture of the drums to make them fit the tracks more.

1

blcktau t1_j3o9d1h wrote

The vocals are too weak for the heavy backing and so often draw background noise and unflattering acoustics into focus over the band, for this kind of sound it might be better to get the vocalist to practise with the band playing just to ensure they're singing with enough power to match. Also I feel with the genres you're playing with that the drum production could use more dirt and fuzz but that's more personal preference. I like the songs, and you guys are clearly good at playing and recording, so I hope you carry on making cool stuff

I'm glad you enjoyed! I have been learning about the making-side of vox processing and creating different effects for the listener.

In a writing zone recently, and looking forward to recording much more soon!
