The last post I can find on this subject is five years old, so re-upping...

Since it is now pączki season, and since my beloved Bob's Bakery in Chicopee is no more (they may have been better than what I can get in my native Detroit; I never did a side-by-side comparison), I'm seeking out sources of this fine Polish delicacy in Massachusetts.

I'm aware of and have visited both DJ's and Baltic in the Polish Triangle Boston. DJ's is my go to for now. I've also heard of Coffee Time in Salem. Looking for other suggestions. My family likes having a variety of flavors (one of the reasons we really liked Bob's - everyone could get their favorite).

I've never had them from a polish shop, just got the Big Y ones once. They were like slightly breadier donuts. Weren't bad but never had the urge to get them again. I'm probably not the best person to ask for a comparison.

Bernardino’s in Chicopee might sell them. They’re a great little bakery that caters to you if you speak Polish, but they’re awesome even if you don’t.

I may have to take the suggestions here and do a combination pączki search and test of MA's EV charging infrastructure (the Globe did a bit on this with donuts). And then figure out a way to burn all those calories.

I took a drive to Salem this morning to Coffee Time. There are a lot fewer people downtown than in October /s.

Anyway, there were about three people waiting in line outside and I could see the pączki on the shelves inside. If you were in line I'm sorry if I salivated on you.

The wait was barely five minutes. Came away with a half dozen. I'm VERY impressed. They are the real deal. The coffee is good too! I'll be back.
