If you’re traveling in, you will need a car. Mansfield is not near Boston and not near the airport. I don’t know about public transportation but I’ve never considered using it to get there.

Seats are worth paying more for over lawn, please trust myself and other commenters. You can barely see what’s going on from the lawn, it’s the cheapest way in the venue and fun if you’re there for a good time but not to enjoy the band. I regret only buying lawn seats for this venue seeing some of my favorite bands. Consider paying for seats.

Despite my tone, I do really enjoy the xfinity center and have been there a bunch of times. Pros: you can tailgate! Arrive early when the parking lots open and set up shop with beers and food. You can eat and drink (without being super obnoxious) before doors open at the show. Grills are allowed from what I remember.

I have also paid up for VIP parking the last few times I’ve been there and it’s MASSIVELY improved the headache of leaving xfinity. Yes, the up charges for everything are annoying, but I’ve realized it’s worth the convenience of time saved. I 100% recommend buying a parking pass as well. You will get out of there in minutes and avoid the hour long traffic jam, and not have to run out of the show halfway through the last song to beat traffic.
