As someone who regularly looks at property to buy and only in metro west I have seen plenty of 3 unit buildings or condos in 3 unit buildings on 6-8000 sq/foot lots. That is already the 15 units per acre.
I have not looked in Weston because it is to far from the city for what I am looking for.

Weston is too far from the city? There’s great access to 20 (to go through Waltham) and 95, and there’s a commuter rail. Where else in metro west is that close and convenient to Boston?

Watertown, Newton, and Belmont all offer better faster access to transit. Weston you kinda need a car for. And route 20 is a pain in the butt. To many lights every light you need to get into the other lane because it’s a turn only lane.

Yeah rt 20 is tough. I commuted from Maynard to Watertown via 117/20 for years, but if you go at the right time it’s fine.
The towns you named though generally are not considered metro west…hell even Weston doesn’t make the cut by the states definition (looks like it stops at Wayland). I think all those fall into suburban Boston.

Hm really I didn’t know that I figured because it wasn’t part of Boston and west of Boston that was metro west. I am going to need to look up what constitutes metro west now.
