And no impact to insurance as far as I know. Inspection stations will place a light meter behind the windows to confirm what % tint you have if the inspector thinks it’s borderline.

If you need to go darker than the 30% legal limit, you can apply for a medical exemption.

IIRC you are not likely to get a medical exemption. Very few are given each year. You would have to have a serious medical condition requiring darker tints.
