That’s the motto for the whole city, not just the PD. I knew people who worked for the city over the years and when I’d point it out to them they’d shrug and agree it’s ridiculous. Probably a facet of the changing times. Maybe in the 1800s it was equivalent to “We’ll take on any challenge” or something similar.

I’ve never been to Fall River but had to research when I saw that patch. Apparently one of the times the city burned down they wanted to rebuild everything as it was so they adopted that motto.
