Hey guys!

In the future I will be spending three weeks up in Central Massachusetts for multiple conferences and work. I will be in a bunch of different towns including Worcester, Oxford and Holden. However, as I will pretty much be working the standard 10am - 4pm schedule, it leaves me with my nights and weekends free.

What are some good bar recommendations that young people go out in, in Central Massachusetts?

Trains to Boston stop at 11pm, so I don't know if I want to go in there. I rather find cool bars in Central Massachusetts. I am sure Worcester has some.. but shoot some of the recs over!!

Some example of what I am looking for (Fun, dancing, open late, 25-34 y/o range):https://ironbarmorristown.com/https://www.theashfordjc.com/

stuff like that.. Thanks In Advance!

Holden resident here.

Depends on what you're looking for. Holden is a smallish town with nothing in it in terms of nightlife. The most "bar" type place is probably Specialty Sandwich Shop or Quinn's blue plate and those are both restaurants to me. There's our local brewery - Seven Saws which we love, but we mostly go to Worcester.

Awesome beer list with excellent food (more of a restaurant, but has probably 15 bar seats): Armsby Abby (Worcester)

Dive-y place with limited food, but the best meatballs on the planet and great live music: Vincent's (Worcester)

Breweries: Seven Saws (Holden), Greater Good (Worcester), Wormtown (Worcester - This place used to be cool but seems like a pretty-boy college hang out now)

Other good places:

  • Nick's (Worcester)
  • The Mercantile (Worcester. This place is newish and really big. Husband and I went a couple weeks ago around 10pm and we were the oldest people there (we're almost 40).
