I just started working in Gardner and have an hour lunch. Is there a good place to sit and eat my lunch? I've been eating in my car in parking lots but I would like to find a park or some picnic tables where I can enjoy the last nice days of the year. I'm not from the area and haven't explored much yet.

Monument Park and Crystal Lake Park are both what you’re looking for. Dunn State Park is also perfect as someone else mentioned. And I think they recently put tables and stuff downtown. Part of me really misses living in Gardner.

There’s a bike path behind the skating rink if you’re interested in taking a little walk to sit on a bench in the cover of some fall foliage.
