It doesn’t matter that his boss is an ass b/c it’s not really his decision. Your husband has been paying into PFML since the law was enacted just like everyone else. Paternal leave is a qualifying event. Does his company have an HR rep?

No it’s a small landscaping company with I think 10 employees on payroll
