You seem to assume they have not looked into them. I assume they have looked into them and neither appeal to OP, but silly me, I assume other people are competent and don't need adulting lessons from strangers on the internet.
There are 18 candidates running for 6 statewide elected positions and numerous local candidates for many different positions. You can, but its worth your time to look into a candidate and see if the person stands for what you believe in. We have come a long way since being "taxachusetts" and that's due to people deciding what is right and wrong when it comes to running our state. We don't want to end up like Rhode Island, so take five minutes and find out about the candidates involved.

Yes but regardless of whether you vote for candidates or not one of them will be elected so it might be worth looking into it more.
