I was told by my father that this padiddles declaration allows the couple seeing this to kiss the other by declaration. Love my dad.

I heard an older, retrograde version of this:

  • If the boy sees the padiddle first and declares it, he gets to kiss the girl
  • If the girl sees the padiddle first, she gets to give the boy a punch on the shoulder!

Of course, if the girl wants to be kissed, she can pretend to not notice the padiddle...

I prefer your dad's version.
