Because one is a word from the 1700s and one is an apartment in 2022?

Just a wild guess.

Lawrence used to be a place where people didn’t even want to step foot in, but lately there has been a lot of housing developments happening. It helps too when the commuter rail is there and the city is small/walkable, but the cost is also unfortunately a contributing factor because it’s so small and a lot of people in-state/ immigrants are coming in pretty fast. Even tho it’s expensive, it’s still pretty cheap compared to living in Boston for a studio/ 1BR.

There’s just not enough room here unless you can afford the ridiculous high cost of housing by yourself or renting a room.

Working and living in a place with a high level of prosperity costs money. Would I pay it? No way, I would live south and take the train in.

You have to be on the outskirts in the newer apartments they built there. But Boston is spilling over to everywhere north. Soon the railway will go to Fall River and those apartments will go up in cost.

Because you are paying for someone's affordable housing unit in the same building and the company that manages that unit.

I knew this was poor peoples fault.

Yes. If you want to know why the working class is feeling really squeezed to make ends meet these days, it's actually not a bad idea to follow the money. Where is it going? Who's been getting more and more and more money lately. Clearly handouts to poor people. Poor people have all the money. We solved it.

Why do you think that everyone living in affordable housing is poor? And why do you expect money to fall out of the sky.. and why assume poor people are always innocent victims.

I'm sure that question can't really be answered with just one answer for all people in question.
