I gotta get somewhere that’s 6 minutes away in car but 40 mins walking. I’m new to the area and only staying for a few days.

Craigslist has a ton of private Taxi services.. lots of people have a small business being a one car 'transportation company'.. just get their numbers and call.. of course if you are an attractive female, keep in mind it is not the safest thing.. but you can check business registration online on the LLC registration website for Massachusetts.

Pittsfield does have more than double the average MA rate for violent crimes and is also nearly double the national median on the same. It's not great.
