I'm convinced when the price goes down we're supposed to thank the Republicans and when the price goes up we're supposed to blame democrats

That’s exactly how it plays out. Thing is, Presidents have no effect on gas prices, period.

New to politics? Been like this for centuries. The very first play in the political playbook is, "Always take credit and always pass blame."

It ain't just gas either. Anything good happening is because of my team's tireless efforts paying off. Anything bad happening is because my opponents are a bunch of thieving, corrupt bastards.

Yup!! Why am I still paying through the roof for heating oil while gas is going down? Granted, heating oil reached $6 last spring, so I guess I should be grateful.

LOL I have a not to exceed 5 dollars with the oil company so far it's been above 4 all season but has not hit 5. Some people with gas heat tell me they are only paying 80 bucks a month.

You’re fortunate… the first fill of the season (November?) they killed us at $5.25/gallon for heating oil. It has come down since then but that was a pretty big sticker shock.
