Can widen it all you want, you'll still have the entrance/exit bottlenecks. It was a good call.

Agreed. Ever been to Atlanta? They have 8-lane per side highways and it still grinds to a standstill.

Honestly I think once you’ve been in Texas for a while you’ll want to leave…

I feel bad for her. Clean-sheet design is way, way easier than cleaning up the absolute disaster that is the MBTA and MassDOT.

That said, there's honestly a lot of stuff that could be done that would require very little upfront investment and would dramatically improve transit access in Massachusetts. I've run the numbers on commuting from my apartment in Framingham to my work in Needham by transit, and little improvements like extending a bus line by a few stops could nearly halve the trip.

Lol "Her departure was greeted with a shrug from current and former ATD employees.” To be fair, think that's also feeling towards Tessler's departure.

Austin is a shit show, makes Boston commute a joy. Rapid transit is a joke, where it even exists, in that state. Hoping for the best, but am flummoxed that there wasn’t someone with a better track record for us here.
