He was charged because he talked to the police. Regardless of whether you did it or not, don't ever talk to the police. Ever.

I used to work in news and read a lot of arrest reports and court documents. It never ceased to amaze me how many suspects talked themselves into charges.

Yea I understand the general advice is not to ever talk to police. I think there’s an exception when your spouse’s life literally could depend on it…

The funny thing about this guy is he is not even the one who reported her missing. That alone is pretty damning.

Totally. As soon as I heard that voicemail he left where he was way too casual and said something like “just wondering if you saw her Sunday… or, err, any day since Sunday” I knew he was 100% behind it

Whether he murdered his wife doesn't matter to the police. It's who fits the narrative of the current evidence at hand.

If you are innocent, definitely don't talk to the police, innocent people get in trouble for this all the time.

If you are an actual murderer, it would be very stupid to talk to the police, also.
