I heard that is what they use in Gitmo to crack villains, one bite and you waterboard yourself with your own hands to get the taste out.

Licorice is a harsh master why do you think the guy Lord licorice from candy land was a such a dom?

I wanted some black licorice for the first time in years, and because of the outrageous smear campaign against it, you can hardly even fucking buy it anywhere. I had to go into a hippy dippy store with like loose bulk lentils and organic everything and settle for the weird ass brand they kept between the carob bars and the oat milk soap. I just wanted some Good&Plenty, but they don't have it at the Walmart, the Target, the Kroger, or the Price Cutter. I'm not going to the movies for Good&Plenty. Why can't y'all fucking relax and enjoy whatever candy you like instead of insulting black licorice and black licorice enjoyers.

Black licorice tastes like horse piss smells

It REALLY depends on the licorice. A friend of mine like this Scandinavian stuff, the taste of which is nearly impossible to describe. The intense mix of salt and sour felt like it actually damaged my sense of taste.
Then you have the super tame (by comparison) stuff like black jub-jubs or jelly beans, which I absolutely love.
