Don’t the Swiss have a big shooting day holiday? I know I read about a European country that drinks and shoots guns. And get this Americans…. they do it RESPONSIBLY. Crazy, right?!

Yes there is something like this. But what I was reffering to, is that almost every man who had served in the military has a gun. But yes, Shooting is also a big sport here. (however nothing compared to more traditional sports like skiing or football)

You can get weapon licence in most EU countries. We just have actual strict guidelines, testing, mental evaluation, backgrkund checks and time on range before you get your license. Unlike some other countries

Problem is lack of carrying permits in most Eu countries. In that department Czech Republic is golden standard

I mean basic guns here are basically handed out in goody bags to everyone who enters a store that sells guns.

(Yes I am being hyperbolic, but it's criminally easy to get guns here)

Depends on the country. In Austria you need a license for semi automatic and fully automatic is illegal. But for things like a bolt-action hunting rifles you only need to be over 18. I'm pretty sure that most people here don't even realize how easily they could buy a rifle.

There's plenty of guns across Europe. What we don't have is uncontrolled guns and school shootings.

That and lots of hand grenades.

You know more than I do. I knew of a single grenade brought into school, but only to show his mates.

No we definitely have issues that we need to resolve here in the states, but what I was getting at is Europe shouldn’t act like their farts don’t stink as well.

Sweden is just one example off the top of my head, but I’m sure anyone with an internet browser could find examples of gun/explosives violence elsewhere in Europe.

Absolutely. Europe isn't perfect and has many of its own problems and has done so for hundreds of years. However, we're currently going through our greatest period of peace, and I would feel relatively safe anywhere (not counting western Ukraine or Russia). This is partly down to strict gun controls and single digit mass shootings per decade.
