Galaxy brain: With the perfect timing and aim, maybe they can make it so that it ends up in their home laundry hamper.

Just gotta make sure it doesn't burn or fly away in the atmosphere!

Fortunately, there's not much dirt in space and you can't smell anything so they can wear the same clothes a lot

MrLambNugget t1_jac5qxf wrote

Pretty sure you can smell since the astronouts are not in vaccum

Pretty sure they can smell, also if they were in vaccum.... they couldnt breath so.

Just read some interviews from astronauts, they reported that they can smell on like the iss for example and that it had a particular ozone smell to it. There is something about body fluids lessening the sense of smell, but according to the astronauts, not so much.

Well in irss there are astronauts that have clothes and can smell, but apparently they dont wash clothes they just "toss" them, which i dont know if that means actually tossing them in space or what.

Ryimax t1_jadda5x wrote

Probably putting them on the automatic supply capsules on their way back down. That's what they do with all their other trash

Y... you know they have air inside the space ships and stations, right?

LostLaw9417 t1_jadzr89 wrote

Do you tiny floating particles in the sunlight?... yup, that's the astronaut's underwear

JeoffreyDommer t1_jad3hxl wrote

No they don't. They yeet it to earth and it burns up in the atmosphere.

First of all, what?

Second of all, 'were'?

There are astronauts on the ISS every day. All the time. Right now. You can see the ISS with a telescope.

How many people are on the ISS? Is it like a couple at a time or are there like 40 people who speak different languages up there?
