it's the same 300 characters max tweets, you're just paying for extra 3700 characters and the ability to edit after posting

And with Twitter only being half worth than before he made the purchase (Elons own words), it wouldn't be far fetched to think he is going to change it so only paying members are allowed to post in the future.
