Tbh I never understood this. Its seems so stupid, especially considering many of them live in the desert or other hot regions.

It increases the chance for us to enter heaven.

Anything really that makes us hungrier or more thirsty increases the chance.

I don't know if this is the joke, but starvation indeed can be a cause of death.

Side note: I also find it funny, that many actually gain weight in the "fasting" period.
