An easy way is just counting the months on your knuckles A knuckle means its 31 days and a dip between knuckles means its 30

You haven’t done it have you? Those fall on the index fingers’ knuckles. The space between hand isn’t a “dip” it’s void and null.

It does work because thats when you switch hands. Knuckle (May), valley (June), Knuckle (july), Switch hands, Knuckle (August).

So now you are arbitrarily deciding which dips count and which don't? That makes literally no sense, and that way of counting is absurd. You can't say it's a pattern, then go and interrupt the pattern 4 repetitions in just to make your little "memory charm" make sense.

why doesn't it make sense? you start with the pinky knuckle (january) till you reach the index knuckle (july), then there's no "dip" after that because that's the end of your hand, so you switch to your right hand and start there with the index knuckle. just try it out ;-)

Guess I just don't agree on how to count fingers, since you absolutely DO have a webbing of skin that counts as a dip after your index finger. The only case that could be made for no dip would be for the months of September and October. You are creating random definitions of dips and knuckles to make your way work, therefore it doesn't actually make sense.

I understand exactly what you're saying, and no I'm not stupid. Thumbs have knuckles, and there is a dip between the index and thumb. You can't just discount those because you want to.

you form two fists and hold them side to side and BAAM thumb knuckles gone. nothing to remember. just hold your fists together and you're good to go. i like this method, very straight forward. but if you prefer to learn this poem thingy. sure, you do you buddy.
