I'm forced to learn it in school against my will and the teachers are bad so I think I'm more than justified

Still doesn't explain the problem with canadian french. As a french Canadian, I had to learn english (against my will as you would say) and a bit of spanish and it doesn't make me hate those language. Truly doesn't understand the problem about it and why it is censored.
