Lol I was thinking about my dog getting ran over when she jumped out the window to go after a squirrel. She broke the window front bender of a womans car and my heart faster than any scene in a TV show

It's funny how they lived a life of luxury compared to everyone else getting mauled by infected or starving to death.

these memes are pretty funny, but they feel a little oldish. i havent heard anybody say, men don't have feelings because they don't cry over somthing specifik for a long time. maybe thats just me though?

I was thinking of this meme when the episode ended. Still sad.

Better summary would be that the companion of the guy who made the place had a degenerative disease was soon going to die, he couldn't even properly move his hands with precision anymore, the guy who made the place was already old as well and so choose suicide as a way of freeing themselves from the world.

As a le gay, I just wanna say that was one of the best depictions of gay love I’ve seen on screen (really of any love tbh, but gay love gets portrayed less effectively usually), and it was totally unexpected (and more powerful) jumping out as a surprise vignette in an otherwise very straight, action-based show. The entire episode struck the perfect balance between a depiction that’s not overly sexualized while also not sexless—just revealing the universal beauty of two people who grow together and love each other fully.

Also, the acting was superb, and it was filled with some truly beautiful lines. I was enjoying the show already, but this got me thinking we may be seeing something a bit greater and deeper than I first clocked the show as.

“Old means we’re still here.”

Full 2 hour movies can't even halfway portray a straight romance correctly, The Last of Us had about 50 minutes and 2 60 year old men and absolutely nailed it. Bravo.

I genuinely believe that the show can not top this episode. It's perfect, beautiful, absolute masterpiece.

In comparison the games feel less special in a way because what they are doing with the show is taking the base material and turning it into something greater. 10/10 would cry with my fiance again.

If you didn't cry when he described how the day was going to go, you're not human.

I (dad) was balling watching this while cooking dinner, and my daughter walked in and asked if I was okay. Had to tell her it was a happy/sad episode.

Yeah this was an amazing episode. So much range from both actors who absolutely disappeared into their characters. This episode turned my GF from "I don't really like this show, it's too scary...into wow this show is amazing".

{SPOILER} I didn't cry at the end, but I lost it when Frank told Bill what he wanted from him on the last day. When Bill started crying I wept like a baby. I was def trying it hide it from my GF. lol. At the end I was more elated for Ellie and Joel that they got their truck and went riding off into the sunset.

We already saw the game and already knew how it was going to end. I want to look other characters’ perspective in this post-apocalyptic world other than Ellie and Joel. So, basically “shhh… let people enjoy things”

"As le gay" sorry that made me laugh! But yeah these comments make me wanna watch the show. Apparently people are bashing it because it had gay stuff? That's silly, especially since you made it sound like it wasn't cheesy crap either but genuine good script and acting.
