I’m pretty sure it’s the shoe on the right. I’m guessing that it was so hot that it caused the plastic to sort of shrivel up. The real question is why didn't OP wash both shoes together?

I did wash both. I bought another pair after incident and compared to it.

That's too funny! I can imagine you looking at them when they were done with the wash. Did you realize at first how much they had shrunk or did you only realize after you tried to put them on?

They looked smaller, but did not think much of it. Fully realized what happened when I try to put them on lol. The actual size difference became clear only when I got new pair.

The soles are tied up next to each other and one is about an inch shorter. You can also see the thickness of the soles is different. Not a prospective thing.

I think the shrinkage in the right (left) shoe can be arrived at using the simple formula of perspective ÷ sarcasm.....
