Some religious companies use their profits to oppress or to lobby for making their religious views into laws.

"Chick-fil-A has donated over five million dollars to organizations that depict gay people as pedophiles, want to make “gay behavior” illegal, and even say gay people should be “exported” out of America." "Hobby Lobby specifically fought against women’s healthcare and took it all the way to the Supreme Court." https://rampagewired.com/471235/op-ed/companies-under-fire-the-truth-about-businesses-like-chick-fil-aurban-outfitters-and-hobby-lobby/

That's pretty sick. As someone from the LGBT community this is actually very frightening. I don't usually follow news and was unaware of the depths of it all. I wasn't thinking of possible funding to anti LGBT organizations. Im going to be more aware of where I put my money. It sucks because chick FIL a has some kick ass food, but it's not worth the hate and pain they want to afflict on others.

Hobby lobby didn't want to pay for women's contraceptives, which is totally reasonable. It's bullshit that any company would have to provide something like that. It's a private issue that the government and businesses should stay out of.

Ok? It still doesn't mean your boss should pay for it.

They were not "paying" for it. They specifically lobbied to deny it being covered under medical insurance. It is religious discrimination in employment.
