Canadian Pantyhose

I never understood the concept of Canadians somehow being the kings of denim. Sure we wear jeans but every time I've been to the US they wear jeans just as much. Plus I've literally never seen someone wear full denim in my life lol.

Google says it's this, but who knows if it's true.

>Lore has it that the very term Canadian tuxedo comes from a Bing Crosby episode at a Canadian hotel in 1951. Crosby and a friend were reportedly denied entry to the hotel because they were wearing jeans, which inspired Levi's to design a denim tuxedo for Crosby so that he could have a formal denim option.

I think, if that story is true, that means it just became one of those things where the origin was lost as people repeated it more and more.

I love how there’s no acknowledgment of the integrated shoes or their sizing. Just buy the pants and hope your feet fit lol.

Huh, you'd have to get both shoe size and leg-length right.

The first Star Trek movie (Star Trek: The Motion Picture) had uniforms where the shoes were built into the pant legs. Apparently it was an enormous hassle getting them properly fitted and attached.

Quoting the Wikipedia article on the film:

>Combining the shoes and trousers was difficult, time-consuming, and expensive, as each shoe had to be sewn by hand after being fitted to each principal actor.

Built in wear as well. People trying to emulate people who actually have a reason to wear jeans. Fashion is stupid.
