Except when you're coming down

I've always had a rough time coming down the couple of times I've done them. I go to dark places and I'm 100% not like that in any other situation.
Maybe I'm doing them wrong, not taking the right amount, maybe I shouldn't drink with them. I dunno.

Shouldn't drink with them. My best times have been in nature with a buddy that is experienced.

Thanks for the tip!

oof. Drinking and psychedelics are generally not a good idea. A beer or shot or two to help with nerves/anxiety sure but getting drunk and tripping can fucking suck bigtime

sometimes my comedowns are rough too. almost always when i’m idle (no one to talk to and not set up to do something else like paint or watch tv) so i end up pacing and breathing funny and weird stuff.
i notice this most when mixing , and when i’m just on shrooms alone i think the come down is easier but i also think i always end up mixing so it goes back to set/setting. have a calm place and something to do and preferably someone there who adds to chill vibes.
nature is 10000% the BEST place but make sure it’s a safe journey!!! wishing you well, mush love 🥰😎

I wonder if that has anything to do with simple things like sugar or caffeine intake prior to shroom

I am willing to bet you are taking too much. Try like one cap and adjust from there

Thanks! I think it was probably more than that.

Mushroom trips can be really difficult, especially if you overdo it and get ego death. That was quite unsettling.
Taking alcohol out may help. It can really bring out trauma and give you a chance to heal yourself. They’re using mushrooms in a clinical setting to help people through things like PTSD. There’s a Netflix documentary called changing your mind that shows what powerful tools for good psychedelics can be.
Exploring your consciousness can get weird and overwhelming. So if you’re with someone you trust in a place you feel safe and comfortable you’ll generally have a good time.

Thank you. The first time i took them I got immense feelings of being a failure and disappointment to everyone I knew... Which is 100% not the way I normally am. I'm normally very self confident and proud of my accomplishments.
I appreciate your thoughtful response!

Instead of therapy, I worked through most of my baggage with cannabis and introspection. Being present with my feelings and not shying away from difficult questions changed my life.
It’s certainly not for everyone, but it did help me.
Have a good rest of your day!

Whhaaaat?!?! The comedown of psychedelics are the best part man! Especially when you've been tripping hard and are finally back to reality for the most part but you have this afterglow/body high feeling that lasts another day or so (esp if you took LSD). I love that shit, feels amazing.
