You think your rice needs to be in an air tight bag? What's the thought process there?

i've always heard it spoils faster if exposed to the moisture in air. personally i keep my rice bag out and open all the time anyways and never had it spoil, but I eat rice constantly so a bag never lasts more than 2-3 weeks.
