They're called "meat spots" and they're pretty common. It's just a bit
of the hen's reproductive tissue. Sometimes there will just be a large
drop of blood in there. It's OK. No, I wouldn't eat it.

This. If it were actually an embryo, well for one it wouldn’t just be a blob of tissue, there would be discernible features by the time it was this size, but also the yolk would be covered it veins.

It wasn't a fetus because that's not how chicken reproduction works. The farms that produce eggs for sale literally do not have roosters on them, it is physically impossible for it to have been fertilized. Another user has already explained what it was, but it sure wasn't a fetus.
