Fun fact, a lot of people will try and clean smelly drains with hot water, but you're just cooking the nastiness and letting it permeate the air. Ice water will help for a little bit cause cold tunes down smells.

Yeah it's very common here in SA. I was once in a bathroom at a club in Cape Town and some dude stumbles in, completely wasted and scooped some up into his glass. Before I could tell him that's piss ice, he stumbled out the bathroom and face planted right outside the door. At least he didn't drink the piss ice lmao.

I’ve seen ice in urinals posted here a few times recently and am kind of perplexed as to why this is so fascinating to people. I don’t even drink much and I’ve seen this in half the bars I’ve ever been in; almost to the point where NOT seeing it seemed abnormal. Is this really not as common as I’ve been led to believe?

Definitely common place in South Africa. Sometimes your stream gets caught in one of the holes in the ice, and causes an incredible ricochet right back into your crotch!! LESSON: Always best to aim at the urinal, not the ice!!
