Look up grafting citrus trees. I have a lemon tree in my back yard that has two types of lemons on it and I plan to graft oranges, limes and pomelos onto... eventually.

I once heard you can do this by "implanting" branches in a young tree. At least it was done with apples and pears.

You can do that with citricts as well. But it doesnt always work. My uncle tried once adding a lemon branch to an orange tree. Somehow the result was just that the whole tree started making bitter oranges. Plants are weird.

I'm color blind so I can only see oranges

Ha, that's cool. I wonder if they can make an orange-lemon fruit baby.

A bergamot is one between bitter oranges and lemons, so I don't see why they couldn't do it with regular oranges
