If anyone is interested, there is a total of 101 frogs in the set, the most of any Lego set!

It’s what I love about legos. They could have made a new, unique part that looks like cherry blossoms. Instead they used a part they already had that somehow works perfectly

It's a nice detail.

I've kept my bonsai green, but I have the frogs somewhere if I want to change it to pink.

It is official! The tree is attached to the base firmly. To create the appearance of gravel, the set has you pour 90 loose pieces all around the base of the tree.

I think he's referring to the small black pot on top of the brown wooden base. As a reference, the corners of the pot have sideways rubber tires on the bottom, that actually give it quite a lot of grip

Oh hey, I have that one! I keep it in the “green branch” configuration.

Mine goes pink during spring, green for the rest of the year.

That's September to November for me in Australia.

It's quite easy to swap, there are branch structures for both configurations so it's really just swapping 3 large sections plus one small one on top.

I got the NASA Space Shuttle Discovery for Christmas. It came with the Hubble telescope, and the Hubble had yellow caps on each side. What held those caps in were little faucets used in Lego houses. Yes, like sink faucets.

You hit the nail on the head. I have this same set. Every time I see a particular part repurposed in a creative way it makes me so happy. Btw, I recommend their succulent set to go with this guy. That was a fun build too.

Your post inspired me to hunt down, buy and build this set. Thanks!

I remember seeing the set and was curious about it, but to be honest the normal green version wasn't doing it for me. Never noticed it had this Sakura blossom mode as well included in the set and the little frog "petals" look so good.

Love it. Maybe I'll switch back and forth seasonally.
