I'm thinking white would lose if one of the queens dies? So you'd have to decide which one you want to be your attacking queen and which one is the stay-at-home queen...
(When I played a game of lesbian chess with my mum though, I just cheated and put a Lego crown on one of them to signify the king, since hetreosexual chess is just simpler)

Usually there is two queens for both sides. You get another queen if you get a pawn down to the opposite side of the bored

My sister suggested this as a reason for the second queen too, but there are those straps for each piece, so if there were supposed to be extra queens, I'd think they'd get slots in the container as well
