Can you imagine trying to tell Pythagoras that 1500 years in the future there's going to be a self-propelled metal wagon that runs on liquid dinosaur, and inside is his math work on the deck of a compartment that's used mainly to hold chew and Bush light?

He would be extremely confused, as the first dinosaur bone was discovered over 2000 years after he died (he died about 2500 years ago).
