Was this found at a discount store? I imagine a lot of company’s during the height of covid were supplying these to employees, and then now they have a lot left over, so they resold them to various stores.

That sounds about right. During Covid we got all kinds of weird stuff from donations. We got a lot of those snack boxes from airlines and other stuff.
