That's ancient LOL. I had a key like that for my dorm room back in 2007/2008.

I remember going on a cruise in the 90's, the cabin keys looked just like that.

The biggest issue with these keys is that unless they're made to only insert one way (using a guide rail or notch or something), one key can potentially open two doors (if you can find the "mirror" lock.

Is that really the biggest issue? I'd say the risk of people making copies is worse.
