Something similar happened to me but with a Snapple bottle. All I did was open it and the bottom fell out! Most bizarre shit ever. The vacuum seal kept it together just long enough to ruin my morning

So strange! I’d just finished the rest of my drink & set it down & maybe 5 minutes later we heard it crack & were so weirded out

Was it just out of the dishwasher and still warm and you poured something cold in it? Very bizarre

Not at all, I wish we had a dishwasher lol.

It was room temp for quite some temp & the contents were straight from the ~37 degree fridge

Ha, well it’s not ghosts you need to worry about in bed it’s the shadow people, do not google that immediately and see that they really exist 😱

Had that happen to a ceramic tea mug as I poured in hot water. Much cleaner break.

Glass is under some tension from its formation. Normally there is equilibrium but your glass had to find a new equilibrium.
