Don’t do this…they are made for quick flipping otherwise the arcing inside can cause your house to burn down! You should have been able to hear the arcing while doing this.

the light switch was quite sticky ( not literally sticky but it acted like that ) so it was just keeping to light on. sometimes it didnt even turn off when you flip it off.
