Which works have left in your memory the beautiful feeling or the emotion experienced through the vision above all (or exclusively) for the soundtrack they had inside? (more than than movie itself)

By soundtrack I mean above all the original one but the "compilation" made ad hoc for a film is also fine.

I just watched Titan A.E. and I believe the Wikipedia entry for "2000" should just consist of a link to the soundtrack for that movie. In other words, thumbs up.

Since people already mentioned Interstellar, I would say “Cast Away” here and “The man from nowhere” here have one of the most heart touching soundtracks. It makes you sad but happy and hopeful at the end. I sometimes listen to them while driving.

A long time ago the original Star Wars got me into John Williams and a lifetime of love for film scores from many composers. I still prefer a traditional symphonic score, but love more modern vibes like Tron, Dune and Oblivion also.

Pump Up the Volume the movie and soundtrack shaped me. Judgement Night and the Crow are both enhanced by the OST and got way to much play from me in the day.

My wife and I did this silly date thing where we ate in complete darkness and listened to Interstellar (I know it's been mentioned a lot). Surprisingly great.

How has no one said BATMAN FOREVER??? That movie was big but the soundtrack may have even been bigger. When I was a kid that was my first exposure to U2 so it was a while before I realized they suck dogshit because that song is actually good. I got it for an unreleased Offspring song but ended up learning about hip hop in the process thanks to Method Man. And this is all without mentioning the Seal song. You don’t have to drunkenly sing it to your cat to know that’s an all-time banger.

Event Horizon had a spectacular soundtrack and Alien 3 as well. Most recently The Empty Man had a really terrific soundtrack that mixes orchestral score with electronic music, much like the two aforementioned films.

Blues Brothers and Blues Brothers 2000. Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Ray Charles, Taj Mahal, Johnny Lang, Can Calloway, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Wilson Pickett, and so many more talented musicians

I don't think there is one song from either soundtrack that I won't listen to.

500 Days Of Summer - Sweet Disposition still does something to me to this day.

I grew up on the Footloose soundtrack and that holds more nostalgia for me than the movie itself.

I also really appreciate the musical scores of Slumdog Millionaire, Donny Darko, and Amelie (just to name a very select few).

As an 11 year old the Fast and the Furious soundtrack was amazing. As a 17 year old the Transformers soundtrack was also amazing.

Tron Legacy. I'm not a fan of the movie itself, but the soundtrack is amazing.

Mad Max Fury Road. Brothers in Arms is incredible.

Oblivion. Similar to Tron. Better film, but the music still rocks.

I grew up in a house that had it on cassette and listened to it regularly. I now have it on my iPhone and listen regularly. Somethings are just too good. The music is very inspirational, driven and motivational. You've got some Look Out For Number One.
