The real question is if there will be any sort of dance number performed. They wouldn't be able to mimick the movie obviously but hopefully some sort of adaptation of it. The energy comes from the dancing. It would be awesome so see them make a go of it

For a professional performance I don't think it would be too difficult to get some dancers out there to do it. If they don't they are seriously fucking up.

This is the Oscars performance from the year Slumdog Millionaire was nominated (this is the best quality vid I could find). I couldn’t quite remember how large scale this was from when I watched it the night it aired, but I remembered it being more than just A R standing alone and singing.

Edited: I found a much better clip after I posted this.

How did they film it? It's actually sped up right? I wonder how they synced it to the beat of the song. Practiced at a slower tempo that would sync up after being sped up I guess

This is an actual effect used in some dance performance videos, especially kpop! Yes, they slow down the music and perform at the slower tempo before syncing it up in post. But it usually gives a sort of stop motion effect in the process that I didn’t notice when watching the performance in RRR. I honestly do not think they slowed down the performance in any way on set. I’m wondering if they show it at a higher frame rate to give it a motion blur effect?
