Not sure if it's the same movie but I remember a HK movie from when I was a kid with a similar scene. If it's the same movie I remember the baby getting a choice between a rocking horse toy and a sword? Vaguely recall a firey backdrop too. Swordsman had come home to find his wife slain and home on fire with only the baby/kid who then picked the sword. I have some more vague memories of that movie if it happens to be the same one?
