I'll be honest, having a lot of people attend to just watch the movie never occurred to me.

I had to boil it down to the one movie that those close to me associate with me the most and one that in some form another has had long reaching impact on me.

If you sit down and breakdown the individual plot elements of the movie, you'll see that it actually encompasses a lot of themes about loss, grief, family, friendship, acceptance, and more.

For a movie about "four walking, talking turtles" It's actually one of the most heartfelt and intelligent "kids" movies of the 90's.

I know, I know, I know, that's actually a line from Secret of the Ooze, which is a more lighthearted movie, but one, I nonetheless love nearly as much.

The problem is, one movie wouldn't be enough, there would have to be an epic montage of my favorite things. A trailer of my life and interests, if you will.

You leaved me speechless, and sorry if I came too "jokey" before but I think just the viewing of that movie would encapsulate so much nostalgia and cheer memories to a lot of people around that hearing about a viewing nearby in honor of somebody, well would be kinda a great experience. Still thank you for taking your time explaining and dissecting some of the aspects of the connection it has to you.

No need to apologize for a lighthearted comment, you in turn gave me reason to sit and reflect on why I chose the movie. Why it still resonates with me.

Initially I did consider a sarcastic answer at first, but I decided a sincere response was appropriate.

I am appreciative of your responses and of you creating the thread.
