When I was thinking back on John Wick 4, I was thinking of Mad Max. I dont know of any other movies that would have such great action. The sole reason why it stands out to me among other films is the scale of prolonging of the fun to watch violence, like the the Paris scene in John Wick 4. I dont think they could have pulled this off before 2000s.

If you dont agree, then just answer the title, this is just my opinion, this subreddit unfortunately requires long description.

Fury Road was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.

Especially amazing considering it was directed by a 70 year old (whose last few movies included Happy Feet and Babe: Pig in the City)!

Yes! When I found out he directed those movies my mind was blown. So versatile.

John Wick has more non stop action during 150 minutes. However, Fury Road is a far better movie which some well made respirations at times.

Well, they are different types of action. Both are good. But seeing Fury Road in the big screen is a totally unique experience.

John wick was great but Mad Max is on a different level.

The John wick action scenes feels like an action scene, they usually paus the story and they feel very coregraphed.

The Mad max action scenes are weaved a lot more seamlessly into the the film and a lot of the time it furthers the story and develops the characters

Mad Max also had way more unique action set pieces, it had better cinematography to elevate the action scenes, it had a better soundtrack to energize the action

I saw the North American premiere of this at the Toronto International Film Festival. The whole crowd was just losing their collective shit from start to finish. We didn't know what hit us. Unforgettable experience.

The Night Comes For Us is another flick in the style of The Raid movies. You can find it on Netflix.

I love the Wick franchise but I have to give it to Fury Road; those sequences with all the vehicles and the practical effects they used were just so amazing. It’s a movie I go back to again and again because it’s thrilling and such a fun ride.

They're both crazy, but I'd say Mad Max (only because I can't believe no one died while filming those stunts).

John Wick is a great action movie. Fury Road is a nearly perfect movie of any genre.

Fury Road since it has less... stops. John Wick 4 has a nonstop third act but only two action scenes otherwise. They are amazing, long action scenes, but there's plenty of room to breathe until John gets off that boat. Both are 10/10 action films.

Yeah, Fury road has the edge in coolness of the action. You are right, but dont forget about the Japan scene. It was so long for just the beginning of a movie. It could very well replace a ending climax of any other action movie. Plus the fight scene at the gypsies was nonstop intense action for 6 minutes. Overall, it seemed to me like 70 or 65 percent of movie, if you include epilogue at the top of those stairs, was just cool violence.

John Wick 4 without a doubt. I watched Fury Road after all the hype and great reviews and honestly found it boring. It looked good, everything was there - but something was kinda bland about it. Bo
