Hello, everyone! I've got 2 hours before I have to leave and I was hoping to get recommendations on either a good horror/thriller movie that (for the most part) takes place on one specific location. For example, movies like Cube, Outfit, Dawn of the dead, saw, hell house series and so on which were set on just one specific area.

I might go with this one for now. I'm curious to see how they'll make a 1 and half hour movie about a guy buried in a coffin.

Just finished it. It was a good one. I'm seriously impressed by how they managed to make a whole movie inside a coffin while keeping the viewer engaged

Coherence, Funny Games, Green Room, Misery, The Thing, and The Lighthouse are all good single location horror/thrillers that come to mind.

mother! is a cerebral and artistic horror film that all takes place in a singular house. This one isn’t for everyone though, as it’s very metaphorical and disturbing.

Less horror and more thriller but Locke is a phenomenal one-location film as well

Watched 1408 and it was so good. I love psychological thrillers like these so thanks for the recommending. I've watched another movie by the same actor titled "Identity" and it had same vibe as this one and that movie was made on one location as well.

Ah yeah, I remember enjoying Identity.

A few more for you: The Innkeepers, Autopsy of Jane Doe, The Possession of Hannah Grace, The Others

Autopsy of Joane Doe and The Others are two of the best horror/thriller movies I've watched. I will check out the other two as well as you clearly have great taste in movies. Btw, thank you for all the recommendations. I appreciate it!

I agree about my taste in movies ; my wife does not :p Ok, since your and my tastes seem to align, here's some of my other favourite horror movies, perhaps you'll find a few more new ones to enjoy:

  • Evil Dead Series

  • Evil Dead Remake

  • Paranormal Activity 1-3

  • Ouija: Origin of Evil (not the first Ouija, which is not good)

  • Annabelle: Creation (none of the other Annabelle movies)

  • The Descent

  • Drag Me to Hell

  • Behind the Mask

  • The Invisible Man (from a couple years ago)

  • The Mist

  • It Follows

  • Oculus
