My biggest nitpick is when during an amputation or emergency surgery scene, the patient is given a swig of alcohol. Five seconds later, they’re being ripped into or having their arm sawed off.
First, alcohol takes 5 to 10 minutes to take effect. Second, even with low tolerance, one shot isn’t doing anything to numb the pain.
I get why these scenes are filmed like that, but it annoys me to death.
