So up until a month or two ago, I hadn’t really been a big movie person. Due to work related reasons (and a dui and breathalyzer installed in my car), I have found myself with a lot more free time at home! I’m embarrassed to say this but I’m a 21 year old female and the first time I had seen girl, interrupted or the departed or fight club or american psycho or pulp fiction or goodfellas has been within the past month-2 months. But anyways those are just some of my favorite “older” movies I’ve watched lately. If anyone likes these movies and has recommendations on movies I should watch if I like these ones, please let me know! Thanks in advance (:

Thanks for making me feel old!

Based on that list, if you have not already seen it go watch 'Memento', and 'True Romance'.

Two very good Mexican films that have been released on DVD with subtitles are Santitos (1999) and Road to Fame [Casi Divas] (2008). They are both geared towards a female audience.

You should also seek out the short film Salón Royale; it can be found subtitled on Youtube and similar platforms. It should also appeal in particular to a woman your age.
