Trying to figure out a random 80’s movie- all I remember it took place at a campground and kids/teens were the main characters

Back around 1981, 1982 or 1983, I remember a movie that regularly played on HBO, it took place in a campground, had some kids, and there was a scene with some guy up on stage singing the “Hokie Pokie”. He may have been Gallagher. I can’t remember much more about the movie. Yeah this is the most random description of a movie, but I can’t remember anything else about that movie. Just curious if anyone knows what I am talking about. If you provide titles, I’ll search further and see if that’s it.

Wrong decade but you reminded me of the movie Heavyweights. A movie I haven't seen probably since the 90's, came out in 95

It’s not Meatballs, it’s not Sleep Away Camp. Know it wasn’t a horror flick. Thinking that maybe it was a trailer park and not a campground. It definitely want “The Last Starfighter”.

I have tried to find this mystery movie, with no luck. There just isn't enough to go on.

However, Here is a list of every summer camp movie ever. Maybe if you honthrough those, and look at photos, it'll jog your memory.
