Just to expand this answer a little.

I had to read Pride and Prejudice at school when I was 14. We had to write a summary of every chapter. There were 61 chapters! I found it really difficult at first, I wasn't in top set for English, probably have dyslexia/add/autism, but after a while I really got into it, and loved it. Still 35 years later one of the best books I've ever read.

You're at university. You can cope. Grow up and do the work.

If it was going to be something really that important for this class I would. But it's not. Also, English isn't my first language so it's more difficult. Reading stories with this kind of setting in my first language was tedious enough. But reading it in a foreign language and it being twice or three times longer, all of that for a minor class? Sorry but I have enough work already. Anyways I understand what you're saying but I know I'll take forever to read it and it's not really worth it this time.

Okay. Apologies, I'm sure you know your priorities better than I do. Good luck with your studies!

Thank you! I understand where you're coming from tho. I know that watching a movie instead of reading the book gives some "lazy kid" vibes but I really don't have the time for this.
