I appreciate the sentiment but this movie doesn't need a remake. For one main reason: the original cut is 210 minutes compared to the released 90 minute cut. That's 2 hours of this movie just left out. Restoring the original cut would be the move, as the movie is so clearly cut to shreds. Despite that it is an interesting watch, and I doubt a remake could touch the incredible set design and score of the original.
